Sommier and Headboard Warranty

The term "WARRANTY" refers to the restoration of conformity at no cost to the customer, through repair or replacement of the bed or its components in the event of manufacturer-confirmed defects that may arise within 2 years from the date of product delivery.

Warranty Management

The subject of the complaint will be examined, and if acknowledged, it will be repaired or replaced free of charge with the same item or, if out of production, with a similar one available at the time of replacement, according to the latest catalog revision. Any components replaced will have a legal warranty of 2 years starting from the moment of replacement. Dorelan does not recognize any other types of warranties beyond this one.

For In-Store Purchase

The point of contact for reporting and managing complaints is always the retailer where the purchase was made, appointed by Dorelan to ascertain manufacturing defects; intervention methods will then be agreed upon between the retailer and the manufacturer. Dorelan will activate the warranty only upon specific request from the retailer.

Any extraordinary concessions different from those established in this warranty will be the sole responsibility of the retailer. Dorelan declines any responsibility for any damages caused to persons, property, or animals resulting from failure to observe the prescriptions indicated in this document.

For Purchases on the Website www.dorelan.com (valid for items available online)

The point of contact for reporting and managing complaints is Dorelan, reachable through the channels provided on the website www.dorelan.com. Intervention methods will then be communicated directly to the customer through the same channels.

Warranty Validity

This warranty is recognized upon presentation of a fiscal purchase document complete with all its components (e.g., purchase date, retailer’s company name, product details, etc.).

The warranty is void in the following cases:

  • Compromised hygienic conditions
  • Subjective dissatisfaction with the product’s performance and/or characteristics noticeable at the time of purchase (e.g., undesired aesthetic details)
  • Color bath variations due to the intrinsic characteristics of the finishing process
  • Transport or handling damage not reported at the time of delivery and/or installation
  • Modification of the product or any of its parts (e.g., using feet different from the original ones, modifications to the structure’s upholstery, etc.)
  • Improper use of the product or negligence in use and/or storage
  • Deterioration due to normal wear and tear or damage caused by the user (e.g., holes, tears, burns, etc.)
  • Failure to comply with the instructions in the Care & Maintenance Manual

Procedures That May Invalidate the Warranty

  • Placing the product near heat sources or open flames
  • Continuously exposing the product or its parts to direct sunlight
  • Removing existing seams or parts of them
  • Smoking in the environment where the product is placed
  • Jumping on the structure
  • Stain-removing the product or its components with aggressive chemicals and/or solvents
  • Applying excessive force to the headboard, as it is not designed to support body weight
  • Dragging, pushing, or pulling the product on rough or smooth surfaces—when moving, the product must be lifted, always gripping it from the frame, not from movable parts. In the case of sommier beds, the wheels installed on the two feet of the bed must be used for movement.
  • For removable covers: washing in ways different from those indicated on the labels and/or in the Care & Maintenance Manual
  • Using an iron and/or a hairdryer to dry the product or any of its parts
  • Using steam machines for product maintenance
  • Using high-power vacuum cleaners
  • Spilling liquids on the product
  • Storing the product in humid or wet environments, whether packaged or not
  • Assembling/disassembling the product and/or its upholstery by non-expert personnel or anyone other than the retailer
  • Performing interventions not explicitly described in this warranty

Additional Details

Improper Installation or Assembly

Incorrect installation of the upholstery on the structure may cause undesirable aesthetic effects such as a loose cover or wrinkles.

Improper assembly of sommier bed wheels may result in breakage or incorrect functionality of the wheels themselves.

Hydrolysis

Cleaning the product with aggressive or unsuitable solutions may cause irreversible defects, such as hydrolysis, leading to the peeling of eco-leather.

Wear & Tear

Over time, minor signs of wear may appear due to normal product use. This alteration is a natural process and does not affect the product’s technical features or functionality.

Waste Disposal

Once decommissioned, the product must be disposed of through authorized waste disposal or recycling channels. The packaging materials should also be sorted for recycling according to the type indicated on the packaging. In all cases, follow the waste disposal guidelines of your municipality.
