Electric Bed Base Warranty

The term "WARRANTY" refers to the restoration of conformity at no cost to the customer, through repair or replacement of the bed or its components in the event of manufacturer-confirmed defects that may arise within 2 years from the date of product delivery.

Warranty Management

The item subject to complaint will be inspected, and if the defect is confirmed, it will be repaired/replaced free of charge with the same item or, if discontinued, with a similar item available at the time of replacement, based on the latest catalog revision. Any replaced components will have a 2-year legal warranty starting from the moment of replacement.

Dorelan does not recognize any warranty other than this one.

For In-Store Purchases

The point of contact for reporting and managing a claim is always the retailer where the purchase was made. The retailer is responsible for verifying manufacturing defects and will coordinate intervention methods with the manufacturer. Dorelan will activate the warranty only upon specific request from the retailer.

Any extraordinary concessions beyond what is stated in this warranty will be the sole responsibility of the retailer. Dorelan disclaims all liability for any damages caused to people, property, or animals resulting from failure to comply with the instructions outlined in this document.

For Purchases on the Website www.dorelan.com (Valid for Online Available Items)

The point of contact for reporting and managing a claim is Dorelan, which can be reached through the communication channels provided on the website www.dorelan.com. The intervention procedures will be communicated directly to the customer via the same channels.

Warranty Validity

This warranty is recognized upon presentation of a fiscal purchase document, complete with all its components (e.g., purchase date, retailer’s company name, product details, etc.).

The warranty is void in the following cases:

  • Compromised hygienic conditions
  • Subjective dissatisfaction with product performance and/or characteristics noticeable at the time of purchase (e.g., slats too soft/hard, frame too high/low, etc.)
  • Transport or handling damage not reported at the time of delivery
  • Modifications to the product or any of its parts made by the user after purchase
  • Improper use, negligence, or poor maintenance/storage
  • Deterioration due to normal wear and tear or damage caused by the user (e.g., scratches, dents)
  • Failure to comply with the instructions in the Care & Maintenance Manual
  • Color bath variations due to the intrinsic characteristics of the finishing process
  • Presence of natural wood grain variations, where some grains appear more prominent than others
  • Presence of cracks ≤ 5 mm in glued plywood areas

Procedures That May Invalidate the Warranty

  • Placing rigid elements (e.g., a wooden board) between the electric bed base and the mattress
  • Using the electric bed base before fully assembling all its parts (e.g., frame with legs)
  • Using a double electric bed base without installing the central support foot
  • Periodically checking the proper fastening of the legs and ensuring stable ground support
  • Placing the product near heat sources or open flames
  • Continuous exposure of the bed base (or its parts) to direct sunlight
  • Operating the electric bed base in the presence of flammable gases or vapors
  • Removing existing accessories, protective elements, or parts of them (e.g., cutting the handle cover of the pillow)
  • Removing labels applied to the product
  • Smoking in the room where the electric bed base is placed
  • Leaving packaging materials within reach of children
  • Jumping on the electric bed base
  • Using aggressive chemicals and/or solvents
  • Using steam machines for maintenance
  • Spilling liquids on the electric bed base
  • Storing the electric bed base in humid or wet environments, whether in sealed packaging or not
  • Using the electric bed base without a mattress
  • Dragging, pushing, or pulling the bed base on rough or smooth surfaces—when moving, the product must always be lifted carefully by gripping it from the frame, not from movable parts
  • Incorrect assembly/disassembly of the product and/or upholstery by non-expert personnel or anyone other than the retailer
  • Sitting on or placing weight on the head and foot areas while those sections are raised or in motion
  • Using the electric bed base if the electrical cables are damaged
  • Continuing to use the electric bed base despite known malfunctions
  • Carrying out interventions not explicitly described in this warranty

Adaptation Period

For products that interact closely with the body, like the electric bed base, a variable adaptation period (even several weeks) is required:

  • For the Customer: Especially if they have switched to a different type of sleep system than they previously used
  • For the Product: As it needs time to adjust to the mattress type it supports

Additional Details

Wear & Tear

Over time, minor signs of wear may appear due to normal product use. This natural alteration does not compromise the technical characteristics or functionality of the product.

Mold Formation

Dorelan conducts regular hygiene inspections on materials to ensure high-quality standards and prevent potential issues. Investigations related to customer complaints about mold confirm that these occurrences are exclusively due to external factors and not attributable to manufacturing processes or materials used by Dorelan.

As a result, the presence of mold on the mattress or bed components is not related to the product itself but rather to inadequate management of external factors by the user. Proper mattress ventilation is crucial to minimize the risk of mold formation.

Some of the main contributing factors (not exhaustive) include:

  • Environmental conditions: Poorly ventilated rooms, high humidity levels, improper temperatures, or sudden thermal variations
  • Lack of proper maintenance: Not rotating the mattress periodically or failing to air it out after nighttime use
  • Non-breathable accessories: Using mattress protectors or pillow covers made from non-breathable materials, which hinder proper ventilation

Waste Disposal

Once decommissioned, the product must be disposed of through authorized waste disposal or recycling channels. The packaging materials should also be sorted for recycling, following the indications provided on the packaging.

Always adhere to the waste disposal guidelines of your local municipality.
