Sleep positions and hidden meanings

Posizioni del sonno e significati nascosti

People who sleep in the fetal position are generally very emotional and sensitive and demonstrate a nostalgia for childhood and the womb; the fetal position recalls the nest, the cocoon, a search for protection from the outside world and usually, those who sleep in this position tend to have nightmares frequently, in relation to subconscious fears.

The semi-fetal position reveals a positive and balanced personality with greater openness towards the world.

The prone position is the most not recommended, as it favors sleep apnea, snoring episodes, and the risk of suffocation in children. Those who sleep on their stomach reveal a precise and meticulous character, tending to be touchy, with difficulty accepting criticism, therefore with fragile personality traits in certain social contexts.

The star position (on the back with arms on the pillow) is typical of self-confident people, who see the world positively and are generally confident about life.

The supine position with arms at the sides belongs to narcissistic, confident and reserved people, who tend not to abandon themselves to emotions.

Doctors usually recommend the position on the right side with the legs slightly bent and the head resting on a pillow of medium height.
